Storage Volume iSCSI / iSER Target
Storage Volume is logical volume exported from Software Defined Pool or RAID Pool, the volume can be attached to iSCSI, iSER or NVMe-oF target. User can create iSCSI / iSER target by according to this topic or mange target interface by according to the storage pool management topic.
Follow these steps below to create a volume device for iSCSI/iSER target:
Step 1. Select iSCSI Targets in the left panel of the NVMStack Management Platform and click Add button on the top toolbar of the management system, from the drop-down menu, select “From Storage Pool”. Then the Create iSCSI / iSER Target wizard popup up.
Choose a Storage Pool.
Switch Create Volume on to create a new volume, otherwise, select an exciting volume.
To create volume, specify volume name, size quota and format, if you don’t know these concepts mean, please refer to the Storage Volume Management topic.
Press the Next button to continue.
Step 2.Finish Creating iSCSI / iSER Target
Target Name will be created automatically, user can modify to specify a new Target Name.
Select a server pool to schedule the iSCSI / iSER target.
Switch CHAP to enable or not.
Switch IP Authorization to enable or not.
Switch Concurrent Access to enable or not.
Choose iSCSI or iSER as the target’s interface.
Press the Finish button to complete the iSCSI / iSER target device creation.
